I believe the renovation of a house should not be something exclusive to few, who can afford to undertake major construction projects. To curate a house that will serve for you may come down to only one decision you will make: That is either rearranging the layout of furniture in rooms or changing the location of your rooms.
Rearrangement of the furniture in rooms will help you adopt a refreshed perspective about your space. Try putting the dining table on the other side of the room, and the armchair can go to the corner of the room. What if you change the place of your floor lamp? How will it affect the ambiance in the room? Once you start experimenting with the location of your furniture pieces, you will be surprised at how creative you will possibly get with your space.
An alternative method to bring about significant transformations in your interiors involves relocating your rooms. For instance, turn your bedroom into a living room and living room into a bedroom. See how much your perspective will change simply by putting things in different places. It is probable that you will rediscover different functions hidden in those furniture pieces or maybe a pattern you did not notice that will go perfectly with another finish of a particular sort furnishing.
Some of you may also be conscious that we change a lot!- every year. Things we experience day to day, kids' growing up and all those changes in our daily life inevitably force us to adopt a refreshed lifestyle. So, altering the arrangement of rooms is one way to make sure our house is in sync with our new We! It is also a perfect excuse to get rid of all those items, trinkets that have gathered in the house that have a secondary or no function at all. Put them in the garage, box them, donate them to a charity and never look back.
It is something I personally have done in our house before the start of a new school year. Voila! Everything in the house streamlined to cater for our new needs and new projects this year.
Dare to start with changing the place of one big piece of furniture first, and let your creativity unfold to complement and curate a totally new scheme with what you already have. You will awaken to a stress-free, lighter, reframed surrounding as a reminiscent of a refreshed outlook on life.
